We find it delightfully unlivable here in this ghostly retreat.
Every room has wall-to-wall creeps, and hot and cold running chills.
From the first moment your guests walk into your party, you want them to be immersed in the experience and theming. For our indoor decor, we’re going to set the stage for a night filled of happy haunts and fun. Some of the elements from our outdoor decor will be brought inside as well to create the feeling of stepping inside a real Haunted Mansion.

The colors for the party come from the elements of The Haunted Mansion that stick out the most. The colors for the party will be emerald green, black, purple, grey and white. Cast Members wear green, black and purple costumes. Black also comes from the Doombuggies you board to ride through the Haunted Mansion. Grey and white represent the tombstones and the many, many ghosts.
Guest will feel as if they stepped inside a real life haunted mansion. You want the party space to look as if people have not lived there in quite some time.
Place lace or cheesecloth on any coffee tables or flat surfaces. You could also use both materials to cover lampshades.
Hang “spiderwebs” from chandeliers, book shelves and window frames.
The Grand Ballroom scene from the ride is the inspiration for the party area. To create the feeling of being in a ballroom use a scene setter to turn your walls into a haunted room.
Low lighting and the addition of candlelight will create a spooky atmosphere. Fill the room with battery operated candles and candelabras. You could also choose to use a paper one to set the scene.
Cover your food and drink tables with purple or green table cloth. Layer on a black cheesecloth tablecloth or a lace runner.
Jazz up your party space with some Haunted Mansion decor. These figurines can make a great addition to your food or dessert table.
You could also download and print these Hitchhiking Ghosts from Disney Family.
With a few simple, creative touches, your home will be transformed into a Haunted Mansion in no time. Stay tuned to see what our party space looks like.
