A Visit from the Leprechaun

Even before we had kids we knew about Santa Claus. We knew about the Easter Bunny too. But when we moved into our house, we stared to get a strange visitor every St. Patrick’s Day, the Leprechaun.

This tricky little guy has visited our home for the past 3 years and each year his tricks get even better. Here are some examples of how he’s tried to mess with us.

Making faces on the Bathroom mirror

Taking the cushions off the couch

Leaving a trail of silly string all over the house.

Making a mess in the kitchen so…

…he could have some breakfast!!

He’s also been known to leave green fingerprints and spray paint hair!

We also heard that if you catch the Leprechaun he will have to give you his pot of gold. So, each year we’ve devised some traps that we thought will help catch the little green trickster.

This was our first attempt at making a trap.

The next year we decided to plan it out first.

Last year we tried to give him some friends to play with along with some gold.

But, alas, each year we’ve come up short.

At least he’s nice enough to leave some gifts behind.

We will be trying again this year and we’re going for a sticky approach. Hopefully this year will be our year.

Has the Leprechaun visited your house? What kind of tricks does he pull on your family?
