‘Ohana means “family” and that’s just how you’ll be treated at ‘Ohana Best Friends Breakfast. From the freshly made family-style breakfast to the one-of-a-kind character interaction, this meal will soon become your family’s favorite breakfast tradition.
We love starting our day at Walt Disney World with a character breakfast, and ‘Ohana instantly became a favorite the first time we tried it.

It’s location inside Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort makes it a great spot to fuel up before hitting any of the theme parks! We usually make our reservation so we can enjoy breakfast with a few of our favorite characters before we hop on the monorail to head to Magic Kingdom!

You’re treated like family as soon as you arrive. One of your many “cousins” will show you to your seat, and some of your other “cousins” will be by to take care of your needs. We’ve never been left behind or forgotten when we’re at ‘Ohana.
The Menu

Mickey waffles are a favorite menu item for the kids. Your food is served “family style” (or should I say ‘Ohana Style?) which means they put a mouth-watering platter of goodness right in the middle for everyone to share and replenish it as often as you need. The platter contains scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and potatoes.

You also get a variety of breads, including pineapple bread. And you can wash it all down with delicious P.O.G. juice. That’s a blend of Pomegranate, Orange and Guava juices.
The Characters

While the food is reason enough to make a reservation at ‘Ohana, we also go to visit with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch.

Mickey is dressed in a festive Hawaiian shirt.

Stitch’s badness level may vary. He mostly behaves himself but had been known to cause a little bit of friendly trouble.

Lilo, when not keeping an eye on Stitch, stops by to say Aloha!

Pluto loves to have fun. Just make sure he doesn’t eat of your plate!

Of course, adults are welcome to get photos and autographs too!

During your meal, the best friends will invite everyone to celebrate with a musical parade around the restaurant.

It’s a lot of fun for the whole family!
‘Ohana keeps us coming back for more with their great food, amazing atmosphere, wonderful service, fun character interaction and that touch of Disney Magic that we’ve come to appreciate so much from our home away from home.

One of our favorites! Best memory is of Stitch taking my father's waffle and putting it in his ear. So much fun character interaction.

Breakfast is always hard for me because I'm not a breakfast or morning person (in general). That said, the 'Ohana Best Friends Breakfast is a fun time and you can have some unique character interactions.

I love the Polynesian Resort so will have to go there for breakfast for sure! Is breakfast only served from a communial platter, or can you order your own meal (my wife has allergies)? - Lee Beatens

That's a great question Lee! The menu does not have a la carte items, but if you let the Cast Members know you have a food allergy, they'll alert the chef, and a special separate dish can be prepared. I believe you can call ahead of time to let them know of any dietary issues, but I would still make sure to alert the Cast Members upon arrival at 'Ohana.
