Cars Family Movie Night

Get your kicks on Route 66 and race on over to a Cars Family Movie Night!

From time to time our family likes to get together to have a Disney Family Movie Night. It’s a time for us to get together to watch a Disney movie, eat food inspired by the movie and have a little fun family time together. It doesn’t take a lot to have one of these special nights at home. The best part will be all the memories you and your family will make together.

The Menu

Each movie night starts out with a huge spread based on the characters or setting of the movie. For our Cars movie night I chose foods that went with each of the locations in Radiator Springs.

Fillmore’s Organic Fuel Station – Fruit Salad
Flo’s V8 Cafe – “Route” Beer Floats
Cozy Cone Motel – Popcorn served in cones
Luigi’s Casa Della Tires – Pizza Pinwheels
Tow Mater’s – Mater’s Baked Potato Bar with all the fixings
For dessert we had stoplight brownies.

Decor

I like to do a great display for the food buffet. For this movie night, I used my son’s Radiator Springs play set and cars to decorate the table. Instead of a tablecloth, I used black poster board and made a street. In addition, I used street signs to give the display a small town feel.

Activities

If you’re looking to add a little extra something to your Cars Family Movie Night, you can try one of these ideas.

  • Set up Doc’s Fix It Shop. Gather a bunch of puzzles and put them together as a family.
  • At Ramone’s House of Body Art you can decorate yourself with temporary tattoos.
  • If the weather permits, you can set up a race track in your yard and have your very own Piston Cup!
I hope these idea will inspire you to have your own Cars Family Movie Night at home.
