Disney Channel’s #Frozen Weekend

Do you want to build a snowman? Are you ready for “Frozen” Weekend? Starting this Friday, July 18th, Disney Channel is kicking off its “Frozen Weekend”. Get ready for a weekend full of new episodes of your favorite Disney Channel shows, a “Frozen” sing along and a very special musical debut.

Your favorite snowman, Olaf, is your host for this fun-filled weekend. Friday brings you new episodes of “Dog with a Blog”, “Girl Meets World”, “Phineas and Ferb” and “Wander Over Yonder”. On Saturday, you and your family can enjoy a Frozen Sing Along. Sing along to your favorite songs from the “Frozen” soundtrack including “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” “For the First Time in Forever,” “Love is an Open Door,” “Let It Go,” “Reindeers Are Better Than People,” and “In Summer”.

By far the highlight of the weekend is the debut of the new pop version of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” sung by your favorite Disney Channel and Disney XD stars. Twenty-six of your favorite TV stars have assembled to bring you this new version of the beloved “Frozen” hit.

From the Press Release:

Steven Vincent, Vice President Music and Soundtracks, Disney Channel, said, “We have a remarkably talented group who, in their approach to this cover song, kept the heartfelt beauty of the original but transformed it into a duet as an ode to friendship.”  He continued, “They were asked to sing live with no pre-recording, so the session became like a big party with a group of friends singing their hearts out and having fun together to deliver a project that ultimately encourages young viewers to express their feelings, to participate in interactive ways and to share their creativity and talents.”

The song itself will debut on Radio Disney on Friday, July 18. The video will be available for Watch Disney Channel app users on Saturday, July 19th. It will debut on Disney Channel Sunday, July 20th.

The Frozen fun starts at 8 pm ET each night. Our family is excited to watch “Frozen” Weekend on Disney Channel! Will you be tuning in too?
