If We Were a Disney Couple

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to those of you joining me from Return to Disney and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final stop on our Magical Blogorail.

This month’s topic is the Disney Couple you most relate to.  There are so many great couples found throughout Disney lore that it was hard to narrow this down to just one.  Thankfully, the task was left up to me and not Lisa, otherwise she might have chosen Belle and I would have ended up being Beast!
I am not in this picture!!!
Instead, I get to choose and I’ve decided to go with a fairly recent couple:
Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen
Now, right off the bat we have a glaring issue because neither Lisa nor myself has ever been a frog. But if you are able to look past that, I can explain how we are alike.

Tiana

Disney describes Tiana as:

“a bright and resourceful nineteen-year-old who dreams of opening her own New Orleans restaurant. Inspired by her late father, she knows everything about cooking and running a business. She has taken his advice of dreaming big and working incredibly hard to achieve her goal even in the face of sizable obstacles.”
I also think of Lisa as bright and resourceful.  She loves cooking and dreams of doing something with that aspect of her life. She works incredibly hard and is determined to achieve goals once she sets them.

Naveen

Disney describes Naveen as:

“a handsome, exotic prince from the far-off country of Maldonia. Naveen is a charming, gregarious man who has a problem with responsibility. Through his relationship with Tiana, Naveen discovers inner nobility he never knew he had.”

Overlooking the handsome/exotic part… and the rich family thing… and being from a faraway land…  I’m a lot like Naveen in that we are both carefree and fun-loving to the point where it becomes a bit irresponsible.

Like Naveen, I think my relationship with Lisa helps me to realize things about myself that I never knew.Together, I’d like to think, that much like Tiana and Naveen, our polar opposite personalities rub off on one another.  To some extent, I think they do.

Thanks, Heidi! When I told Lisa the couple I chose, she gave me a look that said, "Why would you think that?" But once I explained she was onboard.

So you chose the frog over the Beast James?! :D I think you and Lisa are the perfect blogging couple, and I'm sure you compliment each other in every aspect of life. A princess and prince indeed! Here's to a future "Tiana's Palace"!
