Ring in the New Year with these fun New Year’s Eve Party ideas for kids.

Another year has come and gone. It’s amazing how time flies by faster and faster as you get older. It really felt as if this year went by in the blink of an eye. Before we know it, we’ll be at the end of another year.
Back in the day, New Year’s Eve meant fancy parties, hanging out with friends and dancing the night away. However, since having kids, more often than not, we’re home on New Year’s Eve. To be honest, I actually prefer it. No dressing up or small talk, just simple fun, usually in our PJs, with the ones we love. We usually make a few snacks, play some games and watch the ball drop on TV (if we can make it up that late).
Before we say hello to another year, let’s say goodbye to the old one with a bang. These New Year’s Eve party ideas for kids are a festive and kid-friendly way to have a fun party at home.
New Year’s Eve Party Ideas for Kids

Kid-Friendly Snacks and Treats

New Year’s Eve party food should be fun and simple. Our parties mostly consist of appetizers, snacks and desserts. We also like to make something that the kids can keep snacking on the whole night. One of our favorite things to do for a New Year’s Eve party is to set up a popcorn bar. Here are some more suggestions for festive party foods.

Mocktails for Kids

Make New Year’s Eve a special occasion for kids by whipping up a fancy drink. Mocktails and punches are a great way to make your kids feel like they are celebrating in style. Our ring pop mocktails are a big hit with our kids. There’s only a few ingredients which also makes them easy to take to a party. Cheers to the New Year with any of these fun and tasty mocktails.

New Year’s Activities and Games
Kids will also need a way to pass the time to midnight (or earlier if you’re using Netflix New Year’s Eve Countdown Collection). Something we like to do is to pop a balloon every hour on the hour to countdown to midnight.

From games to crafts here are a ton of ways you can pass the time, plus have a little fun at your New Year’s party.
