Beyond the Parks | Dinner Shows

Sitting down for a meal in Walt Disney World doesn’t necessarily have to be “down time” from being entertained.  There are a number of dinner shows within the resort that offer great entertainment along with some nourishment for tired bodies.

Another great thing is that these are all places you can eat without park admission!  Beware, there may even be some audience participation!

Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show

Enjoy an all-you-can eat tropical feast while enjoying Polynesian-inspired entertainment in an open air theater.  Hula Dancers, Fire Dancers, and Drummers entertain while you enjoy platters of pulled pork, barbecue ribs, chicken and vegetables.Price: $61-$73 for adults, $34-$40 per child.  (2 Table Credits on the Disney Dining Plan or Disney Deluxe Dining Plan) Prices vary depending on seating category

The open air theater makes this show subject to cancellation due to severe or inclement weather.  Advance Payment is required and a cancellation fee may apply.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is the longest running show in Walt Disney World. Thousands of Guests have been entertained and well-fed since opening its doors in 1971.
Prices: $59-$68 per adult, $33-$37 per child. (2 table credits on the Disney Dining Plan or Disney Deluxe Dining Plan) Prices vary according to seating category:

Mickey’s Backyard BBQ

The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness ResortEnjoy all the barbecue favorites you can eat, but don’t overdo it because you want to be able to get up and dance with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Chip n Dale to live country music!

Prices: the official site says $30-$60. (2 table credits on the Disney Dining Plan or Disney Deluxe Dining Plan)  I went to book a reservation for July and it said the cost would be $49 per adult and $28 per child. It appears the price varies by season.

 

Seating is first-come, first-served.

Mickey’s Backyard BBQ is offered on Thursdays and Saturdays from March through December.  Advance Payment is required and cancellation fees may apply.
