If you are looking for a good ol’ time this side of the Mississippi, then be sure to make a reservation at The Whispering Canyon Cafe. Don’t let the name fool you! There’s no whispering happening at this place. This family friendly restaurant, located at The Wilderness Lodge, has plenty of western fare and some crazy happenings to boot. You will leave with your bellies full and huge smile on your face.
The Food:
Whispering Canyon is available for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Each service offers the best of western American tastes served in bottomless platters that are enough to satisfy any appetite.

For breakfast, Whispering Canyon offers a wide variety of eats. From freshly made omelets to pancakes to their famous All-You-Care-To-Enjoy breakfast platter (Scrambled eggs, Western Home Fries, Bacon, Sausage, Waffles, Buttermilk Biscuits, and Sausage Gravy), even the pickiest eater will have no problem finding something to eat. If you’re looking for more barbecue in your breakfast, be sure to try the Slow-smoked Barbecue Pulled Pork and Over Easy Egg Sandwich.
When lunch time rolls around, bring your hearty appetite to Whispering Canyon. Their country-style lunch menu boasts, Kansas City-style Smoked Pork Ribs, Chuck Wagon Angus “Bacon and Egg” Burger, and Smoked Salmon Quesadilla. The highlight of the lunch service is the introduction of the All-You-Care-to-Enjoy platter featuring chicken, sausage, ribs and cowboy sides.

If you though breakfast and dinner were lip-smackin’ good, wait until you see dinner. You can have your choice of a Build Your Own Family Dinner Platter, Buffalo Meatloaf, Rainbow Trout, Oak-roasted Pork Loin rib chop and more. Top off your dinner experience with Whispering Canyon S’mores or a Apple-Caramel pie.
At all meal services you can enjoy bottomless milkshakes, yes, bottomless! Flavors include chocolate, vanilla or strawberry.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 am – 11:15 am, lunch from 11:45 am – 2:30 pm, and dinner is from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Please note if you make a reservation towards the very end of the lunch service, platters may only be available at that time.
The Entertainment
But enough about the food. The thing that draws most visitors to Whispering Canyon Cafe is the wild and rowdy entertainment. It has been known around these parts that certain things can be done to enhance your Whispering Canyon experience. Cast members here have a reputation for stirring up some trouble and quite a lot of laughs while you eat. Ask for ketchup and see what happens. Need a napkin or a longer straw? You just might regret asking. (Please note that these gags are not the rule. It depends on your server and how busy the restaurant is at the time)

In addition to all the tomfoolery that can happen, get your little cowpokes ready to go on a wild ride. Hobby horse races around the restaurant get the kids in on the action. They may even get to participate in a sing-a-long.

Conveniently located just a short boat ride from Disney’s Magic Kingdom Theme Park, Whispering Canyon Cafe is a great way to start your day, or to take a break from the heat and crowds to enjoy some family fun and great food.
Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made up to 180 days in prior to your visit. Discounts are available for Annual Passholders (10%), Disney Rewards Visa (10%), Disney Vacation Club (10%) and Tables in Wonderland (20%). Whispering Canyon Cafe is also a Table Service Meal on the Disney Dining Plan.
