Disney’s Christopher Robin hits theaters August 3rd and I couldn’t be more excited. As a longtime fan of Winnie the Pooh and friends, seeing them brought to life in this way literally brings tears to my eyes. To celebrate the opening of the movie, I created Pooh’s Pudding Pots in honor of my favorite bear friend. It’s a super easy dessert that will be sure to please both kids and honey loving bears.
Disney’s Christopher Robin reunites Winnie the Pooh and friends with their old pal. In the live action film, the young boy who embarked on countless adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his band of lovable stuffed animals, has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside. Disney’s Christopher Robin stars Ewan McGregor and Haley Atwell, and features the voice of the amazing Jim Cummings (Pooh and Tigger). This movie is sure to become a family classic.
Pooh’s Pudding Pots
Pooh’s Pudding Pots are a simple dessert that pays homage to my favorite Disney character, Winnie the Pooh. It includes his signature yellow and red colors along with his favorite treat, honey. I chose to serve it in a glass mason jar so you could see all the colors and layers. Plus it reminded me of a honey pot. With fresh fruit, pudding and a smackerel of honey, kids (and adults, too) will gobble it up.
Ingredients
- Instant Vanilla Pudding
- 4-6 Strawberries
- 1 Banana
- Honey-flavored cereal such as Honey Bunches of Oats or Honey Comb
- Honey for drizzling
- Mason Jar
Directions
Prepare instant pudding according to package directions. (You could also used pre-made pudding cups.) Let the pudding set.
When pudding is done, begin layering. Start with a layer of pudding in the bottom of the jar. Then add a layer of bananas followed by a layer of strawberries. Repeat.
Top the pot with a layer of cereal. To finish off the dessert, drizzle a smackerel of honey. Serve immediately.
